Trick R Treat

This year, Halloween was on a Sunday, so we celebrated with our ward on Saturday with a Trunk r Treat at the church. Kendyllee picked her own costume this year. I thought for sure it would be Tinkerbell or one of the Disney Princesses. Boy was I wrong. She that Christopher and Gabriel were going to be Spiderman and Batman. So of course, she wanted to be one of those. And when she saw the Spiderman costume, she wanted it bad. I did not want my sweet little girl to be dressed as a boy for Hallowee. Well, when I saw a Spider Girl costume, I knew this would make us both happy. And that is the one she chose.

Once again, this year we went all out for our pumpkins. I even carved one. Woohoo!! Every year at Halloween I am amazed at Owen's talent and patients for carving pumpkins. He seems to out do himself every year. This year, I chose a cute, fun, feminine pattern for my masterpiece. Owen on the other hand, he did no such thing. The more difficult the better for him. I think he is insane. He carved one for himself and then one for Kendyllee. What a great daddy he is.

Since we celebrated Halloween on Saturday, we were out of candy by Sunday. So we left all the lights off in the house and covered out front door window with a sheet. And we still had Trick R Treaters, so we decided to leave the house and go for a drive. Well when we got home, some one had kicked in my pumpkin. I was furious. I mean come on people, is that really the level you stoop to when no one answers the door to give you free candy? I was just happy it was not Kendyllee's Princess Pumpkin or Owen's masterpiece.

I love home made pumpkin seeds
