New Year's Eve 2009

Owen had to work on New Year's Eve and so Kendyllee and I came up with the best idea ever. We both wanted to bring in 2010 with the Main Man in our lives, so I put Kendyllee to bed just like normal and then I stayed up. I went into her room to wake her up around 1130 and she was sitting up in her bed, I asked her if she wanted to go see daddy and she nodded her head yes and said "ya". So away we went, with our Sparking Cider (for Owen and I) and a sippy cup 1/2 full of Fruit Punch and our plastic cups. Owen had no idea we were coming and he was so excited that we had come up with this wonderful idea. Needless to say our New Year's Eve was fun and this is the only picture I took. We had not even pulled out of the garage yet and she was already yawning, so I thought for sure she was going to be asleep before we even left the drive way. Boy was I wrong. She stayed awake until we were back home and she was in her bed. I think she must have been afraid that she was going to miss the Celebration we had planned!!

Sock Monkey's Daddy

I think these pics are so funny!! Here is the story...Uncle Chase and Auntie Megan bought Kendyllee this small sock monkey for her birthday and she loves it!! I am talking...she has to have it to sleep and she carries around the house with her some days. LOVES IT!! Well just before Christmas, Owen called me on his way home and said that he had a surprise for Kendyllee and I. Well, on that night's truck a feature of these huge sock monkey's came in and he knew he had to buy one. When he came home and showed us, I laughed so hard I cried and Kendyllee almost cried because this thing is HUGE!! Well, now she loves it and sleeps with it every night as well.

Christmas 2009

As you will soon see, we had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was the first year that Owen and I really got involved with the gifts and all that comes with it. Kendyllee made out like a bandit. She was spoiled by everyone who loves her.

This is my gift!! And I love it!! Kendyllee loves her kitchen so much. She played with that and her table most of the day. One of my favs!! The phone is for you daddy!! You will only see Owen helping her open her gift because she wanted nothing to do with me!! We had to keep her focused on opening her gifts instead of playing with her table and kitchen or we would have been there all day!! Thanks for all the help daddy!! The cutest beanie ever that Gramma Jensen had made for her!! This year, I really wanted to start traditions for our family, and this is what Owen wanted for breakfast!! So I got up at 5 am and began the mixing and raising and baking and man was it worth it!! Yummy!! Her Christmas jammies!! Cheese in front of the Christmas tree!!This is Kendyllee seeing her kitchen and all of her fun gifts for the first time!

OuR 1sT GinGErBrEaD HOusE

Ok, so I am so not an expert on this, but it was fun to use my imagination and make this Ginger Bread House for Kendyllee. I had not planned on making this, but I just happen to have every thing in the pantry so I thought I would give it a shot. I think it turned out good. It is complete with Vaulted Ceiling, Shingles, Side Walk/Drive Way, Flower Garden, Rose Bushes, Trees and even grass!!
I just forgot about the garage for Kendyllee's Vette!! Oh well, it looks better in the yard anyway!! VVRROOOOMMM!!!

Happy Birthday to Auntie Mandy

Happy Birthday to Auntie Mandy Jensen today!! We love you and hope you have a great day!!

Girls just wanna have fun!!

Our little Kendyllee is quite the mover these days. She loves to dance and ride Flicka!! I hope you all enjoy these videos as much as we did. We love her very much and are so excited for the many new things she learns and uses every day!!

Kendyllee's quilt

I started making this quilt for Kendyllee in November when we moved her from her crib to her Big Girl Bed. And needless to say, it is still not done. It has taken me a while to get back in the mood of wanting to tie it. I was hoping to have it done for her for Christmas, but I don't think that is going to happen either.
As you can see I have all the room I need to get around it with out having to crawl on the floor. NOT!!

DECEMBER 19, 2007

This date is a day that Owen and I will remember into the Eternities!! This is the day we had our Ultrasound with Kendyllee. From the day we found out we were pregnant, it was an argument between the two of us whether or not to find out BOY or GIRL!! I did not want to, but Owen was dead set on it. So we made a compromise!! Since our ultrasound was so close to Christmas, we decided to have the technician not tell us the sex, but write it in a Christmas card (and seal it good and tight) that a child would give to his/her parents!! Then we placed the card on our Christmas Tree and opened it on Midnight Christmas Morning and that is just what we did! That was the best Christmas gift Owen and I have ever received!!

Notice I am in the bottom right hand corner of the pic. This is just moments before we opened it. I was so excited!!
We also had a special visitor at our house that night!! Santa came to see us and wish us a Merry Christmas!!
All 3 of us sitting Santa's lap!!

SnOw DaY!!

This is what I woke up to o my birthday. A good foot or more of snow. No Kidding!! I have not had this much snow in our yards since before we were married in 2003!! I had to shovel a small amount in the back yard so the dogs would stop going to the bath room in the house. Poor Chloe!! She was so afraid of the snow and it is a good thing because it was so fluffy that she would have sunk and disappeared if she would have tried walking on it. My wonderful husband had to work late that morning and then when he got home, he shovelled snow for 1 1/2 hours before he came in and went to sleep. But by the time he woke up, our drive way and sidewalk was all clean, not even wet. I love him!!
Some where under all this snow is half whiskey barrel flower pot. That is how deep it was.
