These shoes (socks) are made for walkin!!

So last night after I blogged about Kendyllee really learning to walk, she took off like crazy. She was doing really well last night. She even got to where she did not need us to help steady her so she could get her balance. She would just take off all on her own. Once she learns how to stand back up in the middle of the floor she will be all over the place. Here are some videos of our WALKING Little Girl. The first ones are really short but the last one is really funny.

As you can tell she is really excited and loves to celebrate her new achievements. We are so so proud of her. We love you Kendyllee!

Kendyllee is WALKING!!

I have been waiting very patiently to be able to blog about this. Our little Kendyllee is a stubborn Little Princess and will do things when she is good and ready as long as it is her idea. So here is what I have of her walking so far. The second video is her being really goofy and showing off. She does walk a little in that one but mostly just goofing off.

Girls in Red

I have been waiting very patiently to blog these pics. I had to wait because mom put a collage together for Dad, Tyson and Owen for Father's Day using these pics. Owen's finally came in the mail yesterday (should have been here on Saturday Grrr) so know I am done waiting.
My mom found these cute dresses for the two little girls for a major good deal at Family Dollar in Rexburg. They only had these two left and they were both the right sizes. So one night we had a sleep over with Brooklinn at Grandma and Grandpa's. So the next morning after Grandpa left for work, we played dress-up and then had a photo shoot. They were very hard to keep entertained and still while we took the pics. Some of them have body parts that are blurry but the pics still turned out really good, I think.
Our little goofy girl
This picture is priceless. Brooklinn is sooo funny!!
Sweet Brooklinn
We did not pose them like this, they did it all on their own. It looks like they are getting ready to be searched.

Pool Time

We finally had decent enough weather today that I could get out Kendyllee's pool we got her for her birthday. Today was the first day she has been able to use it. She was not quite sure what was going on at first, (I wonder if she was trying to figure out why she was having a bath outside in a big yellow tub with her bikini on) but once I put her toys in there with her the confusion was gone and she had a good time.
She learned that she could get out and play in the grass, so I had to put her back in many times.
The dogs were also outside with us and she wanted them to come and play in her big yellow tub with her.

Changing Day in Our Lives

One year ago today, Owen received some news that has changed our lives forever. I will never forget that moment. Kendyllee and I were at Heidi's house just hanging out with the kids outside when my phone rang. It was Owen. When I answered it I knew there was something different in his voice. He asked me if I was ready to move to Grand Junction, Colorado cause he had been given the Co-Manager position he had interviewed for the week prior. My heart stopped as I looked at Heidi with a blank look on my face wondering how I was going to tell her. She looked at me and knew that all of our lives are about to change dramatically. After I hung up with Owen, I went into the house and told her that we would be moving in the next couple of weeks cause Owen and been promoted and needed to start work on July 7th. We both just stood there hugging each other and crying. I remember Christopher coming in and asking us what was wrong.

That was a very emotional day in my life. I was soo proud of Owen and all the hard work he had done to get to this point in his career. I also remember feeling so sad and scared. I called my dad and told him and he also cried and said that we were supposed to be moving closer to home not farther away.

We had a nice and very sober BBQ with the Ives family that night. There were lots of mixed emotions at that dinner table.

We were very unsure of what the next year would bring for us. And I am proud to say that it has not been an easy year but has been very worth it. We have learned to like living in Colorado. It is a nice place to live. We have very nice neighbors and a great ward. I love my calling in YWs and love getting to know the other leaders and the girls as well as their moms. We have met some wonderful friends here. We have all grown so much and learned to appreciate family and friends and the time we have together.

Now we are eager to see what the next year brings to our family. Where will we be living and what will Owen's job be?

We want to thank all of you who have helped us out in the last year. All of your love and support has been felt and we appreciate it very much.

Over all this has been a great move for our family.

Best Summer Ever

Well, Owen made it thru INVENTORY. And now we are onto REMODEL!! I have been dreading this for a while now. Owen has already been thru 2 remodels as as Assistant Manager, but now that he is a Co-Manager, I just knew that it was going to be a terrible summer. Well guess what?? I WAS WRONG!! His Store Manager asked him to be a part of the remodel crew on the DAY SHIFT!! That's right. Owen will work only days and have weekends off until the end of September!! I am so excited for this. We are going to take full advantage of this summer cause who knows when it will happen again.

So many new things

Kendyllee has had a very busy week this week. She has learned and accomplished many new things. To start it off (as I said in a earlier post) she now has 16 teeth. She is off formula and will only drink 2% milk. She only wants one bottle a day (just before bed) instead of 3. She is now WALKING back and forth between Owen and I. While visiting my parents, my mom thought it would be a good idea to teach the sign for more. And she now unsterstands that when she wants more food, all she has to do is touch her fingers together and it is like magic. And just last night she learned that she can CLIMB!! Ya, that's just great. She can now get up on the couch and the coffee table. She is still learning how to get back down once she gets up.

She made Owen and I laugh so hard last night. She had her bath and was wearing a night gown and she wanted to get up on the coffee table, but was struggling because of her night gown. So after trying 3 or 4 times she got really frustrated. She starting smacking the table and yelling and screaming at it. We just sat there for a moment looking at her thinking is this really happening? Then she tried again and had the same problem. Then came the same tantrum. It took her a few times to figure out how to get up there with her night gown on, but she did it. It was so amazing to see her solve the problem all by herself.

We have been so in AWWW at her these last couple of days. She is growing up and learning many new things. We are so proud of her and all that she had accomplished in her short little life.

And they both love him. Thanks for letting Kendyllee play in the videos and make your house messy. We love you!!
Brooklinn-6 1/2 months, Kendyllee-3 months
Terry has taught Owen many wonderful things about being a Husband and Father. He taught Owen how important it is to be a hard worker and to do his best in everything. Thanks for instilling this trait in him. We love you very much and are very grateful for all you do for us.

A Mouth Full

While we were visiting in Rexburg, Kendyllee broke 2 more teeth. That means she has a total of 16 teeth. What a crazy girl.

Home Sweet Home

Well, Kendyllee and I are finally home. We woke up way too early yesterday morning (4 am) and started the journey from Ogden to home. We had a wonderful time. We were able to see many people that I wanted to see. We made a trip to Idaho Falls to the Wal-Mart on Broadway and seen many friends that I have not seen in years. It was nice to see you all there. I was also able see one of my friend's baby blessed. It was nice to see Natilyn and her wonderful little family and their new home. I spent some time with Cami and her daughter Raimee. We also went to Jensen's and spent some time with them.

We had a wonderful time in Evanston, Wy. My cousin was married on June 6th and all of mom's brothers and her sister was there. It is always really fun when everyone has a chance to get together.

We had a wonderful visit with Wade and Ashley. Kendyllee loves her Uncle Wade very much. She is already missing him very much and I am sure he is missing her too. It was nice to see Ashley again. I have not seen her in a very very long time.

We had a very good visit and it was nice to have some time to myself. Thanks mom. And Heidi came for a couple days with her boys. We miss them very much and had a great time with them.

There is a major picture overload on this blog. But you would think I would know by now that I need to blog backwards (ending to beginning) so they would be in the correct order. I have figured out that I need to put the pics inside the posts backwards, but I have not figured out that I need to do the posts backwards. I hope you have lots of time and enjoy all of the pics!

Messy Eater

While mom and I were making dinner, Kendyllee was hungry so I put her in her high chair and mom gave her a roll. We went back to making dinner and then I turned around to check on her and this is what I found. She had put part of her roll on her head underneath per piggy tail.
Uh oh! Grandpa gave her an Oreo cookie.
Time for her bath

Makin a Mess

Kendyllee found a very messy past time while at Grandma and Grandpa's house. No matter how many times we would pick them up she would take them out again. She also learned how to take the vhs tapes out of the cases.

Kendyllee and Taytum

Kendyllee and Taytum quickly became kissing cousins. They played so well together and had such a great time at Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's house.
Grandpa Jensen loves these two girls
Kendyllee has a love for dancing and music. She loves to move to any kind of music and sometimes she moves to no music at all. Her right arm is always moving when there is music on. Uncle Wade had the best time with her watching her dance. She has become quite the little mover.

Christopher the Cowboy!

While I was at my parents house, Heidi and her boys came and stayed a couple days with us. We had so much fun. And you should know by now that when Heidi and I get together with our kids there are lots and lots of photos. So get comfy!
Christopher and Peggy became very good friends. He waited very patiently for a nice day when Brampa would be home so he could go for a ride. He had such a good time and he is the cutest little cowboy ever.
As he was riding, Heidi said that she wished she would have brought his cowboy hat. So Mandy went into the house and brought out Brampa's cowboy hat. I put it on his little head with the cinch in the back and he told me to take it off and tie it under his chin. What a funny boy.
This picture looks like he is riding all by himself.
