GO BSU BRONCOS!! WOOOHOOOO!!

We love BSU Football!! While in Idaho they just happen to have a game against Fresno (which they won 51-34 if I remember correctly) that was aired on ESPN. And so...we had to make it a party!! We went over to Heidi's brother's house and watched the game with them. But half the fun of Bronco football is getting ready. And we know how to do that in style. Get ready for a lot of BLUE AND ORANGE!! WOOOOHOOO!!

Some of the party animals making cookies for the BIG GAME!
Who can make cookies with out eating part of the dough? Well, not this girlie!! Thanks to her daddy!
The best cheerleaders around!! ( L-R Adeline, Johanna, Heidi, Kendyllee , Me and Becca)
Chris all ready to go and party BLUE AND ORANGE style!
The cutest cheerleader in all of Boise! But she hated her pom poms, so we left them in the truck!
Gabe all ready to have a great night!! GO BRONCOS!!
Even Kendyllee's toe nails and finger nails went in style thanks to Auntie Heidi!!

Thanks Robert and Johanna for letting us bombard your house and have a great time!!

Boise Zoo

While we were in Boise, I talked Heidi into going to the Boise Zoo with the kids. It had been so long since I had been to a zoo and Kendyllee had never been. I was so excited to go and you will understand how excited I was once you start looking at all the pictures I took. I wanted to get as many of the animals as I could because the closet zoo to us is in Moab, Utah, which is a couple hours away. So I hope you enjoy our trip to the zoo as much as I did.
I have never seen a giraffe at a zoo. So this was super cool for me.
Simba looks like he is winking a me! Gosh!!
Nala soaking up some shade.
I love this picture! How it has it's mouth open and you can see those GINORMOUS TEETH!!
I have to say, this is my favorite picture of the day. She is so stinking cute!!
This is as close as I got to this!! And I even used the zoom to make it look like I was being brave.
Heidi on the other hand is CRAZY!! She wanted Chris to touch it so she thought she had better touch it first to show him is was ok. I missed Chris touching it because the boy in the blue shirt bent down in front of me, so I got a pic of him touching it instead! :(
This boy loves to slide!
Gabe on the other hand, not quite sure about going down by himself. I let him go and he was not a happy camper by the time he reached the bottom.
Kendyllee liked it as long as I went with her!

16 Months and Learning to Talk!

Kendyllee is now 16 months old and is wild and crazy as ever. She destroys the house on a daily basis and I have learned to only clean once a day! After she goes to bed then I take a few minutes and put all the pillows back on the couch and the shoes back on the shoe rack. She is beginning to talk a lot and we definatley know what she is trying to say.

Here are some pictures of what she can say!
BABY
POOH BA (pooh bear)
GMA (grandma)
HEIDI (she usually says this thru her tears when she is in the corner)
PUPPY
UH-OH AND NO NO NO MOMMY
DADDY
She can also say BYE BYE and HI. She is learning more and more words each day.
This next picture is a picture of what she is like during the day. She climbs on everything all day long. We have had to rearrange our furniture and move things away from the computer desk and place the chair in the spare bedroom, when we are not using it, to keep her off of it.

Letting go of my baby...one step at a time

So this last week or two, Kendyllee has really grown up. She understands what you are saying most of the time and is willing to help out and do what you ask. A couple months ago, Owen asked me when I was going to stop using the monitor. I told him that I was not ready yet, since she is across the house from us. But then one night about a week ago, I forgot to turn the receiver on in our room. And guess what? We both lived thru the night. And I have not turned it on since then, so I am going to pack that up today and put it away. I figure now that she is old enough to get out of her bed and yell for me, it is time. We also started brushing her teeth on Friday. The Dr wanted me to wait and start after her last two teeth broke thru the gums so I did not irritate her mouth any more than it already was. Since they broke thru last weekend, I wanted to start brushing her teeth twice a day. We do it after we fix her hair in the mornings and then after her bath when we are brushing her hair at night. She seems to like it and loves the taste of the Mixed Berry toothpaste that came with her first toothbrush. I am just having a hard time with this whole growing up thing. Owen and I talked about it over the weekend. It seems like just yesterday that she was born and we were holding her for the first time and now she is telling us "NO NO" when we are doing something she does not want us to do. I love that she is becoming her own person, I just do not know if we are ready for this part. I just want to hold her like I used to when she was little.

I guess this is what being a parent is all about. I am sure that there are some of you that are reading this and thinking..."Well Duh!" And Mom and Cynthia, I am sure you are thinking that it was just yesterday you both were holding us for the first time. But that to me is reassuring. Because then I know that I am not the only one having a hard time with this.
