While mom and dad were visiting us, their little Toy Schnauzer became very ill. She developed Pancreatitus. She was loosing a lot of blood and not interested in eating and by the end of the first night was not even able to hold her own head up. That night mom and I took her to the Animal Hospital in Grand Junction, where they put her in ICU and gave her many liquids, pain pills and an anti-nausea medicine. When we picked her up the next morning, she was still not doing so good, but tons better than the night before. Before taking her to a vet in Fruita for the day, we came home to get dad and have Owen give her a blessing. When we got her to the vet's office that morning she was able to walk a bit and was not loosing near the blood. By the end of the day on Friday when they picked her up, she was walking and doing her little trot she does. She still was on a very strict diet and no playing. Here are some fun pics of her!!
